Hope in the world of IT: One Battle Won

Here is some big news.  I'm not sure how many people follow technology generally or FOSS specifically (I'm not even sure if anyone actually reads my RA posts).  One thing though is that right now a battle is going on for control of the world.  Its like feudal times, but with media & tech being the battle grounds. 

Anyways, trying not to digress too much, this is important news.  I'm seeing such sweeping anti-competitive behavior throughout tech, especially in the mobile space.  But this shows that declaring "Intellectual Property" is balanced by usefulness to society.  Monopolies exist only at a balance point between individuals and society.  And its important to look at the harm done as well as benefits that should happen.
